Delaware started its Watershed Resources Registry project in March of 2016. The Delaware team was inspired by neighboring Maryland. The collaborative effort included staff from Delaware’s Department of Natural Resources
and Environmental Control and Department of Transportation, US Environmental Protection Agency Region 3 ,US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District, US Fish and Wildlife Service,
US Federal Highway Administration, and Delaware Center for the Inland Bays, among others. The project was funded in part by a US Federal Highways Administration grant.
